The Queensland Government's $29.08 million Smart Mining - Future Prosperity program includes three funding initiatives aimed at stimulating exploration investment in Queensland. Funds totalling $7.28 million are available to assist mineral and energy explorers under the Collaborative Drilling Initiative (CDI), Cluster Formation Initiative (CFI) and Industry Network Initiative (INI).
To date 46 projects from 36 companies are now completed with over $3.19 million paid. Currently there are 24 technical successes related to mineralisation and geology.
