| Our role | |
QRC’s role is to support the long term sustainability of the resources sector in Queensland by:
|
 | Building strong community and stakeholder support for the minerals and energy sector’s social licence to operate. | |
Promoting a world class regulatory environment. | |
Implementing strategies to secure key business inputs including skills, infrastructure, and Queensland’s minerals and energy inventory. |
|
| Our history | |
The Queensland Resources Council was formed in November 2003, succeeding the Queensland Mining Council in recognition of the organisation's increasingly diversifed membership base and vision for the future.
Today, QRC represents explorers, miners, mineral processors, contractors, oil and gas producers and electricity generators.
Together, these industries are the mainstay of the Queensland economy and significant contributors to the economic well-being of Australia.
