Ambre Energy Limited is a mining and technology company developing projects to convert low-value coals into high-value products such as char, fuels, chemicals and electricity.
The projects are located in Queensland (Felton Clean Coal Project) and the USA.
The company’s focus in Queensland is on the development of a large coal deposit at Felton, 30km south west of Toowoomba, and the gasification of that coal on site to produce high quality syngas.
The syngas will be used to manufacture a substitute clean diesel fuel, dimethyl ether (or DME), using a new technology to which Ambre Energy has proprietary rights. Some of the syngas will also be used to co-generate low-emissions electricity.
