Carbon Energy is an emerging energy company whose purpose is to produce clean energy, synthetic natural gas, chemical feedstock and transport fuels from Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) syngas.
Carbon Energy’s advantage lies in its proprietary UCG technology, which was developed in-conjunction with the CSIRO.
This technology enables Carbon Energy to produce syngas from coal in large scale commercial volumes, at much lower cost than surface coal gasification methods. This increases the profitability of projects by reducing source fuel costs and upfront capital requirements.
