Bowen Central Coal Management Pty Ltd Bowen Central Coal Management Pty Ltd (BCCM) manages the Bowen Central Coal Joint Venture on behalf of the participants, Vale (50 percent) and Aquila Resources Limited (50 percent). BCCM’s primary focus is evaluation and development of the Eagle Downs project. The Eagle Downs underground coal deposit, which is down dip of the Peak Downs mine, contains a coal resource of 780Mt. The development of a major underground coal mine targeting three seams and employing two long walls is being evaluated with first production expected in 2013. BCCM is also conducting exploration for coal on a number of other exploration permits in Queensland.
