The Queensland Resources Council assesses its governance and advocacy performance annually. As part of the review of QRC’s advocacy leading up to the October 2020 Queensland election, the need for a Political Engagement Strategy was identified to guide engagement in the political process going forward. The QRC Political Engagement Policy recognises a core activity of the QRC is to advocate for and influence policy outcomes that are in the best interest of the Queensland resources industry. The policy outlines the approach and general expectations of the QRC in relation to engaging in the political process in Australia.
Each quarter the Queensland Exploration Council (QEC) Management Committee meets to discuss current priorities, ensuring they align with the QEC Strategic Plan. The QEC Chair delivers a report to attendees updating members on membership, activities undertaken and upcoming events and opportunities.
