The QRC and WIMARQ Resources Awards for Women recognise and celebrate outstanding achievement, leadership and advocacy across Queensland’s resources sector. The awards shine a light on women making an impact through their careers and communities, alongside the individuals and organisations championing meaningful diversity, equity and inclusion outcomes across the sector.

Seven award categories recognise achievement across careers, trades and technical roles, innovation, leadership and diversity and inclusion.
Recognises an exceptional woman at any career stage for her achievements, leadership, resilience and contribution to Queensland’s resources sector and community.
Recognises an outstanding woman aged 30 or under who is making her mark through career achievement, leadership and contribution to a more inclusive resources sector.
Recognises the achievements of a woman working in a trade, operator or technical role in Queensland’s resources sector, including breaking new ground in non-traditional roles, demonstrating resilience, achieving career goals and supporting greater gender diversity.
Recognises a woman who has developed or applied technological innovation in mining in a new, unique or specialist way, with a clear technical or specialist contribution beyond traditional project management.
Recognises an individual of any sex or gender identity who champions the attraction, retention, inclusion and advancement of women and other underrepresented groups within their organisation and/or Queensland’s resources sector. Male allies are encouraged to apply.
Recognises a QRC member company delivering innovative and measurable diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives that are creating a more diverse workforce.
Recognises an outstanding female Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy (QMEA) student.

Know an exceptional woman, ally or industry champion who deserves to be recognised? Submit a nomination and we’ll invite them to apply for the 2027 QRC and WIMARQ Resources Awards for Women.
Applications are submitted online through the Judgify awards portal.
