People are at the very heart of the resources sector in Queensland. Without the support of its employees, their families, neighbours and local communities, the Queensland resources sector would not be able to deliver economic benefit to the state economy, over half a million local jobs, essential services and critical infrastructure.
The QRC works with its members, regional partners, the Queensland government, and other stakeholders to ensure the regulatory framework promotes positive outcomes for people and communities.
We do this through
- working alongside members to:
- develop effective strategies around employee attraction and retention, labour mobility, long-distance work practices, social impact and workforce diversity.
- build a long-term sustainable future for regional Queensland communities.
- develop safe work practices for fly-in fly-out and drive-in drive-out employees
- support ESG practices and promote Queensland’s ESG credentials
