Energy career pathways
Commences Term 3 2026

What is the Power and Energy GISP?

The Power and Energy Gateway to Industry Schools Project (Power and Energy GISP) is a Queensland Government-funded initiative designed to strengthen connections between schools, industry and training providers, helping young people explore pathways into power and energy careers.

Delivered by the QRC, the project focuses on increasing student awareness of career opportunities across the full energy system, including generation, transmission and storage, and the essential role energy plays in Queensland’s economy and communities.

The Power and Energy GISP builds on QRC’s proven experience delivering education-industry partnerships through the Queensland Minerals and Energy Academy (QMEA) and aligns with the Queensland Government’s energy roadmap priorities.

This project forms part of the Queensland Government’s Gateway to Industry Schools Program – building partnerships between schools and industry and providing students with valuable insights to assist their career choices and pathway to employment.

Commences: Term 3, 2026.
