Shape Our Future
'Shape Our Future' showcases real careers and people working in Queensland’s diverse and evolving minerals and energy sector.
Launched in 2021 as Shape Your Future, the campaign has grown into a dynamic initiative designed to help young Queenslanders see themselves in the sector – whether they’re passionate about sustainability, innovation, community, or hands-on trades.
Now relaunched as Shape Our Future, the 2025 campaign highlights 30 authentic career stories from across the state, featuring apprentices, engineers, scientists, researchers and more. The stories show how a future in resources can be purposeful, flexible, and full of opportunity.
The refreshed website shapeourfuture.com.au includes short videos, career Q&As, study pathways, and direct links to QTAC, university and trade course options.
By partnering with leading companies and universities including James Cook University, Arrow Energy, Thiess, Pembroke Resources and Critical Minerals Group, this campaign connects talent, opportunity and impact.
