2020 Qld Mining Industry Health & Safety Conference Announcement
31 March 2020
As you are aware, due to the COVID-19 outbreak there are new restrictions in place for social gatherings of all group sizes. For this reason, regrettably the Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference 2020 previously scheduled to be held from Sunday 23 August through to Wednesday 26 August has been cancelled.
Our focus will now shift to the 2021 Conference to be held at The Star Gold Coast from lunch time Sunday 22 August through to Wednesday 25 August, concluding with the Conference Dinner and Awards. The Theme “Together we Collaborate, Innovate and Educate” will not change and the program, as far as possible, will remain as per the presentations planned for 2020. We are currently in discussions with our keynote presenters to determine their availability.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank our Sponsors and Exhibitors for their ongoing support of the conference and we look forward to welcoming them in 2021,” said Conference Chair Glen Britton.
“The dates for the call for Presentation Abstracts and submissions for the Innovation and Health Awards for 2021 will be announced later this year.
“Further updates on the 2021 Conference can be accessed through the conference website – https://www.qmihsconference.org.au, the conference Facebook page and the LinkedIn page,” he said.
