2024 QRC Indigenous Forum – Emerald

We were thrilled to celebrate the success of our QRC Indigenous Business Forum held in Emerald on 12 June 2024, sponsored by Jellinbah Group Pty Ltd, Thiess and Coronado Global Resources Inc..

This event provided a dynamic platform for local resource companies to share best practice, while fostering further engagement with local Indigenous businesses in attendance on the day.

The Indigenous Business Forum also presented a valuable opportunity for past QRC Indigenous Awards winners to share their career story and experiences and for networking across the diverse group of attendees, which included industry leaders, site workers, local government, Indigenous businesses and Indigenous students from local QMEA schools.

Highlights included:

• An engaging local Indigenous business showcase
• Insightful sessions on engaging Traditional Owner businesses, recruiting and developing Indigenous workforces, and building cultural competency
• Best practices for creating career pathways for Indigenous workers and supporting Indigenous women in mining
• Panel discussion on making workplaces culturally safe
