Arrow Energy Limited

Arrow began safely and sustainably developing coal seam gas in 2000 and supplying it commercially in 2044. Today, Arrow delivers almost 20 per cent of Queensland’s natural gas demand from its five fields in the Surat and Bowen basins, in southern and central Queensland.

In 2020, Arrow sanctioned the first phase of the Surat Gas Project (SGP). The development involves construction of more than 600 wells and will bring around 3000TJ/d of gas to market over 27 years. The full SGP includes up to 2,500 new wells and across its life will create around 1,000 jobs, comprising some 800 construction roles and 200 ongoing operational positions.

Arrow owns and operates Braemar 2, a 450-megawatt (MW) gas-fired power station 35km southwest of Dalby. Braemar 2 produces three to four per cent of Queensland’s electricity – enough for more than 200,000 homes.

Arrow is a 50/50 joint venture between Shell and PetroChina.
