Hansen Environmental Consulting Pty Ltd is a boutique environmental consultancy servicing the mining and related industries.

We provide a broad range of environmental services for all phases of project development.

Our key area of expertise is in undertaking environmental assessments for sensitive projects. We are industry leaders in the management of integrated environmental impact assessments and stakeholder engagement programs. We have a track record in successfully managing the environmental approval process for major projects with sensitive social and stakeholder settings, and complex technical issues.

Our work experience includes environmental assessments and approvals for coal and metalliferous mining projects, as well as quarrying and resource infrastructure projects, including ports, power stations and linear infrastructure. We have successfully completed environmental assessments and approvals for more than 40 major resource projects in Queensland, New South Wales, the Northern Territory and Asia.

Our other specialist services include environmental auditing and environmental management services for the full spectrum of environmental and social areas. We have in-house specialists in the areas of stakeholder engagement, social impact assessment, mine water management and biodiversity offsets.

We apply a strategic approach to our work which is designed to identify and manage approval and operational risks. For multi-disciplinary projects we build tailored project teams by supplementing our in-house skills with specialist sub-consultants selected to suit the needs of each project.

Our staff has practical mine site and international consulting experience, including throughout Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Africa.
