Kestrel Coal Resources

Kestrel Coal Resources is the underground coal producer of Kestrel mine, situated 40km northeast of Emerald. The site currently produces 8-10Mt of predominantly hard coking and some thermal coal and 6 – 7Mt/year of product. Mine life is currently estimated at 30 years with 2023 reserves of 175Mt and resources of 411Mt.

Kestrel Coal Resources is operated via a 80% JV between EMR Capital and Adaro Energy and 20% Mitsui Kestrel Coal Investment Pty Ltd.
