MITSUI RESOURCES PTY. LTD., established in 1982, is the holding company for Mitsui’s coal investment in Australia, with headquarters based in Brisbane.

MITSUI RESOURCES PTY. LTD. is currently involved in six projects, across Queensland.

MITSUI was the first Japanese company to invest in Australian coal mines, with the investment in the Dawson project which began operations in 1961 under the name Moura.
